4. Taxes

The key points of overseas shopping are taxes and shipping costs. Because the tax is collected by the customs, everyone generally thinks that they can save as much as possible. Because, I placed two orders. The first one was because the amount was larger and the goods were heavier, so I took the W Express, which is the tax payment route. I also caught up with W at that time. Family activities, 10% tax is exempted, and the goods arrive quickly and smoothly.

But the second stroke was wrong. Because I thought the value was relatively low and the goods were light, I took the ordinary express delivery. As a result, I was sadly taxed!

Secondly, friends who are checking customs in Shanghai can choose a WeChat applet - "Guanyou Shanghai Express", which is easier to use than the PC version. After logging in with WeChat on your mobile phone, you can Directly check your emails that have been detained by customs. The handling fee is the same. After paying the handling fee, you can upload some customs declaration materials as required. Someone will review them. After passing the review, you will be notified by text message how much you have to pay, and then return to the APP to submit it. That’s it.

Then, what I want to say is that the calculated tax is higher than the tax paid in advance. My order costs 90 yuan! It’s 140 plus handling fee.

Actually, looking back now, the W family offered to choose the packaging box before submission. If you wanted to go without the W family logo, you would have to pay a little more. At that time, I thought this kind of outer packaging didn't matter, but now that I think about it, it makes a lot of sense. The other order was tried to save money by ordinary express delivery, but in the end I paid more tax and wasted time.
