Foreword:As we all know, milk and milk powder are nutritious foods, both of which are rich in protein, minerals, vitamins, etc. A variety of nutrients, especially for children in the growing period, play a positive and important role in supplementing nutrition and promoting development.

Professional organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend that infants under 6 months of age should be exclusively breastfed as much as possible. After 6 months of age, breastfeeding should continue until the baby reaches 2 years of age while adding appropriate complementary foods.

So after quitting breast milk at the age of 2, should we choose pure milk or formula milk instead for our children? And among the two, which one is more suitable for children? Regarding this, let me talk about my personal experience.

Since the birth of my eldest son, due to premature birth and my own health, the amount of breast milk is insufficient and I have been mixed feeding. After about 5 months, the breast milk was completely gone, so formula milk naturally became his staple food.

Despite this, Dabao's development has always been good. He rarely gets sick, and his height and weight are always ahead of many of his peers. Until now, he is in fifth grade and is still one of the top students in the class.

After giving birth to my second child, because of Dabao’s “lessons”, although my breast milk was not that full, I continued to feed her baby until she was 13 months old. milk. After my second baby was weaned, I originally planned to add formula milk powder to him, but I didn’t know that this baby didn’t accept the taste of formula milk for some unknown reason.

After several efforts, I had to accept the reality: replaced the formula milk powder with the fresh milk I ordered. Although Erbao did not reject pure milk, six months later we took the child for a physical examination and found that his height and weight were both low.

The two children have almost never stopped drinking milk. The difference is that one drinks formula milk and the other drinks pure milk. I clearly remember that when Dabao entered the kindergarten, his height was measured at 108cm, while Erbao was only 93cm - one of the shortest in the class!

Come to think of it, this situation with my children is not unique. Most babies will use milk powder as a substitute after they are weaned from breast milk, but there are also friends who give their children pure milk directly. I have carefully observed and compared it, and found that there is actually a very obvious difference between the two!
